Earlier this year Giberto opened its first bricks- and-mortar outlet, on Venice’s Rialto Bridge, to great fanfare. For the past 10-odd years, founders Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga and his wife, Bianca, had sold their beautifully crafted glassware, made on the nearby island of Murano, online and from their appointment- only studio in Venice. But now lucky buyers can wander into the shop and get tactile with the colours and craftsmanship. In keeping with its contents, the boutique is jewel-like and exqui- sitely designed.
