Inspired by Ca’ d’oro’s double loggias, tracery, quatrefoil openings, and delicate roofline lacework, the candle holder captures the palace’s intricate architecture in grey Murano glass. Fine engraving reproduces the filigree of the façade, bringing to mind Joseph Brodsky’s “upright lace of Venetian facades.” When lit, the Gothic balconies glow, as if the palace has come to life.
