Giberto Arrivabene
Noblesse oblige — even in design.

Count Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga lives in a magnificent palazzo of around 1,000 square meters near the Grand Canal in Venice. Arrivabene came to his craft through collecting antique inherited glassware — he decided to design beautiful drinking vessels and decanters in Murano glass himself, but in a modern and unconventional way.

Arrivabene considers mass tourism in his hometown a burden. He especially takes a stand against the dreadful cheap souvenir shops and department stores — with his luxurious craftsmanship he aims to offer an alternative. He therefore opened his shop “Giberto Venezia” directly on the Rialto Bridge.

Arrivabene’s signature style features vibrant colors and playful designs that subtly reinterpret traditional forms. “Drinking is a joy of life,” says the Count, “and it should be celebrated with radiant colors.”
