The Art of Venetian Hospitality – La cucina Italiana 2026
Le notizie
In La Cucina Italiana, Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga opens the doors of his family home in Venice, Palazzo Papadopoli, sharing a story in which food, objects and the art of receiving are deeply intertwined.
At the heart of hospitality is the idea of heritage: family recipes handed down through generations, tables set with objects collected over time, and a distinctly Venetian approach to hospitality. Together with his daughter Mafalda, Giberto recounts the traditions that continue to animate the family table, from much-loved recipes preserved in a handwritten family cookbook to the ritual of welcoming friends and relatives into the home.
The table itself becomes a portrait of this heritage, where historic pieces coexist naturally with contemporary creations by Giberto Venezia. Hand-blown Murano glass pieces — including the Fizzy jug and decanter, Fizzy glasses and engraved Palazzo glasses — bring colour and craftsmanship to the setting, creating a dialogue between family history and contemporary Venetian design.
More than a story about recipes, Eredità in Tavola celebrates a way of living: Venetian hospitality, craftsmanship, family traditions and the beauty of objects designed to be used, shared and passed on.
