Inspired by Lucio Fontana’s groundbreaking cuts that challenge the traditional pictorial surface, Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga recreated this iconic gesture in glass. On the Homage to Fontana vases, the slash is impressed while the molten glass is still hot, then refined with careful grind engraving once cooled. The vases are offered in intense black with a single, bold slash, or bright orange with three gashes, echoing Fontana’s Spatial Concepts. Each piece combines conceptual art and Murano craftsmanship, making it a striking addition to any collection.
