Giberto Venezia X Codognato

giberto venezia x codognato

Clessidra is much more than just a glass - it is a testament ofa world that no longer exists, but that we wish to bring back to life.
A meeting of two worlds, Murano’s hand-blown glass and Venice’s artisanal jewelry, coming together to create something surprising, yet deeply rooted in tradition. The glass was conceived by Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga in collaboration with Codognato. Together, they reimagined the serpent, an iconic symbol of Codognato and a recurring theme in Giberto’s work.
The result is a unique piece made of glass, silver, tourmalines, iolites, diamonds, garnets and citrines, requiring over 200 hours of craftsmanship. It speaks of Venice and the passageof time: the hourglass has two chambers, like the two intertwined serpents, like the two creative voices that came together to shape this story.
