THE FRAME

GIBERTO VENEZIA

The best moments in life deserve to be captures by a camera and then housed in an equally unforgettable frame. It’s hard to top these from Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga, whose aesthetic is informed by his childhood home in Venice, the storied Palazzo Papadopoli. He begins each piece with a sketch, and then collaborated with master glass-makers to sculpt each frame from Venetian glass. The Egeo frame, inspired by the scene in the film Summertime in which Katherine Hepburn falls into a blue lagoon, also incorporates blue velvet from Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua.
